Unexpected, Yet Groovy and Delightful!

Our work at Organic Quilt Company is very satisfying. We make and sell pretty organic items, which are mostly destined to keep newborn babies and toddlers cozy. It makes us happy to do this. But last month we had a custom order that wasn't at all destined for a baby, yet this too made us happy... very happy!

The order came from Hawaii — a smile-inducing fact on its own, considering it snowed here just a couple of days ago. Our client plays the ukulele and our Sunset Stripe and Ukulele fabrics from Birch Fabrics caught his eye.

He wanted a reversible cloth bag to keep his Harmony Baritone Ukulele free of dust in his 'man cave' where he keeps it, and Becky was only too pleased to make him one!

We are very thankful that our client was kind enough to take his ukulele, new bag, and a couple of props to the seaside and snap some photos for us.
What lucky ladies we are to have work that brings us such satisfaction and unexpected fun!

Organic Baby Name Quilt

Becky has just completed one of these gorgeous patchwork name quilts. Since we think they're very sweet and we've recently received a lovely new selection of organic solid-coloured fabrics (pictures to follow soon), we have decided to offer design-your-own baby name quilts in our shops.

A classic and simple patchwork design made with a choice of delicious solid-coloured fabrics, or whimsical feature fabrics, or a delightful combination of both, the quilt is backed with cozy natural organic flannel, quilted in a meandering loopy pattern and, as always, Becky hand-stitches the binding with great care.
